I just do what the socks tell me to

I have always had a fascination with muppets. When I was younger I would look forward to the night the Muppet Show was on, I know my mother always sat us down to watch Sesame Street, and socks and mittens were an endless form of entertainment. At one point both my brother and I had these hand puppets that were spiders. Here's the kick though (at least when you're eight) there was a glove attached to the top of the spider so technically it looked as if your hand was in the glove when it was actually in the spider. Of course the glove was the size of a mickey mouse hand and the spider looked nothing like an actual spider, but that made no difference. We actually based some Halloween costumes off of the puppets one year. My brother was the first to come up with the idea, but I liked it so much that I copied it.
So when my mom got this pair of socks for her birthday that looked like they were meant to be muppets I knew what had to be done. A $2.50 pair of chennile fluff socks and a ping pong ball later I had this purple stripped guy. With teeth and braces. I even did the classic stitch one arm to the side and put a stick on the other arm muppet/puppet technique. My husband tells me I should get another pair of the socks and do a step by step process so other people can make one. I don't know if I'm that ambitious.
