Image # 1

Well, it's sideways. But I decided to just hit the browse button and click to upload the first photo that I wasn't absolutely sure what I'd get. This is 9066 from folder mix 5. If it were appropriately rotated to the left it would be easier to tell that this is a stone structure that has water running down it. What it is exactly is a close up of the dam wall at Noone Falls in Peterborough NH. When I was working in the town the dam is just about dry during the summer, and people can walk out onto the rocks that are normally flooded with water. I don't know that it is expressly allowed, but I went out anyway. This is one of the many shots I took that day. I love the texture of the plant growth (algae?) on the rock above. Of course there were a multitude of little flies buzzing about and a few wasps looking for some salty goodness, and the stink of rot was unique to pond water. But I loved getting a close up look at the structure. The colors are fascinating to me. Subtleties etched in the rocks from years of rushing water. I have some really nice shots from that day that I can recall. It was a lunch break well spent.
